On August 12, Pastor Dent will lead us through a study of biblical marriage and how God’s design for marriage confesses Christ and Him crucified for the forgiveness of sins.

All are welcome to join us at 6:30 PM as we explore how God’s Holy institution of marriage is not merely a human contrivance nor is it simply about God’s rules and regulations for man but it is a picture of our loving and merciful God who gives only good gifts to His creation.

This is the first of a 3 part study to equip Christians to articulate the truths of the Christian faith concerning marriage.

The next study in the series is, “Christian Marriage and Non-Christian Unions.” It will be presented on September 2 at 6:30 PM.  In this study, we will examine the Bible’s view of homosexuality with an emphasis on the question, “What makes homosexual unions incompatible with Christianity?”  All are welcome to attend this study as well.

The final study is specifically for members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and will be held on Wednesday, September 23, at 6:30 PM to discuss the path forward for our congregation as we seek to live and confess what the Scriptures teach concerning marriage in a world that increasingly gives us insight into the prayer the Jesus prayed to the Father on the night he was betrayed, “I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” (John 17:14)
